BDD has an extremely high oxygen evolution potential and the widest electrochemical window. It is an ideal anode material for electrochemical oxidation treatment of organic wastewater that is difficult to be biochemically degraded.
It is especially suitable for application in fields of refractory and high-risk organic wastewater such as medical, chemical, petrochemical, coking, smelting, printing and dyeing, papermaking, and landfill leachate.
Pollutants are indirectly oxidized and degraded by generating intermediate products with strong oxidizing properties through electrochemical reactions.
Refractory organic substances and colored wastewater can be oxidized into non-toxic and harmless inorganic substances (such as carbon dioxide and water). Moreover, it can remove heavy metal ions such as chromium, lead and mercury. It can also treat high-salt wastewater and reduce salt concentration.
BDD technology has the advantages of high efficiency, environmental protection, no need to add chemical reagents, and no generation of secondary pollution.
